*HGV Technician / Mechanic | Black Bourton, Oxfordshire | Full Time | Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (Saturday overtime available) | £45,000 - £48,000 per annum*
An established plant hire company with over 50 years of industry experience, providing high-quality plant and digger hire across the UK, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to maintain and repair their HGV fleet.
They take pride in delivering reliable, well-maintained equipment and exceptional service to their customers, prioritising safety and operational excellence.
This role is central to maintaining fleet reliability and supporting operational efficiency across the business.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs (mechanical and electrical) * Diagnosing faults and completing effective repairs * Conducting 6-weekly inspections * Brake testing * MOT preparation * Ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant and roadworthy * Maintaining accurate service records and completing all relevant PMI paperwork * Working efficiently to minimise downtime across the fleet
*About You*
*Essential*
* Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic * Strong mechanical knowledge, including servicing, maintenance and fault finding on HGVs * Own tools required * Reliable, self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
*Desirable*
* Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) * Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
