Were looking for an experienced HGV Fitter/Mechanic to join us at our site in Motherwell.Youll be working the Monday to Friday Day Shift. Our hours of cover are 06.00 - 18.00 split into 2 shifts 06.00 - 15.30 & 08.30 - 18.00.Youll be working with an established team on a diverse range of vehicles and trailers including MAN, Renault & Mercedes.Well need you to have your City & Guilds 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent), experience in fault diagnosis and repair as well as stripping, fitting and replacing components. Preferably, youll have C+E entitlement on your licence, however, this isnt essential. As the contract can have some irregularity of hours, youll need to have a flexible approach.

What youll do on a typical day:

  • Carry out MOT preparations, servicing and repairs on our fleet of HGVs
  • Diagnose faults on vehicles

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Proven experience in an HGV Fitter/Mechanic role
  • Relevant HGV mechanic qualification, such as BTEC or City & Guilds (desirable)
  • A full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement (desirable)
