HGV Technician – Edinburgh Backshift Role – 4-Day Week, Tuesday to Friday
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy workshop in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician to work a stable 4-day week with hands-on experience across a variety of HGVs, while enjoying structured support and career development.
Hours & Salary:

Backshift, Tuesday to Friday (10-hour shifts)
*
£40,000–£45,000 per year (dependent on experience)
*
Overtime available
Role Overview:
*
Carry out maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on HGVs
*
Inspect vehicles and identify necessary repairs
*
Fabricate, weld, assemble, and disassemble vehicle components
*
Use hand tools and workshop equipment safely and efficiently
*
Maintain accurate records of work completed
Candidate Requirements:
*
Previous experience as an HGV Technician or equivalent
*
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
*
Experience diagnosing and repairing faults on commercial vehicles
*
Forklift experience is a plus
*
Motivated, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
