Job Title: HGV Technician
Location: Hitchin
Salary: £50,000 per year (£24.04 per hour)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Bonus: Extra £0.50/hour for Class 2 licence holders
Weekends: No weekend work
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Technician to join our growing team in Hitchin. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a fleet of brand new trucks using state-of-the-art equipment in a modern, well-equipped workshop. Key Responsibilities:
Conducting routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on HGVs to DVSA standards.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
Performing MOT preparation and post-test repairs.
Maintaining accurate service and repair records.
Working safely and following all health & safety procedures.Requirements:
Proven experience as an HGV Technician/Mechanic.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent).
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.Desirable:
Class 2 (Category C) licence – earn an extra £0.50/hour!What We Offer:
