Sweeptech is seeking a full-time skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join our South-East workshop team, playing a vital role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of its fleet. Supporting the companys commitment to delivering high-quality environmental services, this role contributes directly to safer operations and more sustainable communities. You will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles and equipment are maintained to the highest standards, in line with regulatory requirements and Sweeptechs strong focus on integrity, safety, and continuous improvement. Key Tasks/Duties Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and safety inspections to HGVs, trailers and mechanical road sweepers Complete scheduled preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer and company standards. Opportunity to be on the on-call Rota. Perform MOT preparation and pre-annual test inspections. Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults. Identify root causes of vehicle defects efficiently and accurately. Carry out repairs on company assets as directed - (but not limited to) engines, gearboxes, clutches, braking systems, suspension steering and electrical systems.
