HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic — Swindon — £20–£23 p/h (Early/Late, Mon–Fri, Permanent)

Join a leading commercial vehicle workshop in Swindon as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / LGV Fitter / HGV Fitter / Commercial Vehicle Technician. You’ll service, diagnose and repair HGVs, LGVs and trailers to DVSA/manufacturer standards—on a structured Monday–Friday early/late shift—with strong pay, regular overtime and clear training pathways.

The role — HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / LGV Fitter

Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on HGVs, LGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
Diagnose mechanical & electrical faults and complete accurate, high‑quality repairs
Perform routine inspections, scheduled maintenance and precise documentation
Maintain workshop standards to ensure a safe, productive environment
Keep skills current with technical training, product updates and modern vehicle tech
What you’ll bring

Experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / LGV Fitter / HGV Fitter / Commercial Vehicle Technician
Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
Strong diagnostics, fault‑finding and technical skills
Full UK driving licence
(Desirable) HGV Class 1; fleet or main dealer experience; exposure to multiple commercial vehicle types
Pay, hours & type

Rate: £20–£23 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Monday–Friday early/late shifts — 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
