HGV Technician – Stoke

Position: HGV Technician
Location: Stoke
Shifts: 4 on, 4 off
Salary:

* Day Shift: £19.92 p/h - £43,500.00 (Annually)

* Night Shift: £22.60 p/h - £(phone number removed) (Annually)

Role Overview:
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on commercial vehicles. You’ll work as part of a team to ensure high standards of mechanical and electrical repair, keeping the workshop running smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities:

* Perform diagnostics and repairs to high standards

* Maintain and repair machines, tools, and equipment

* Work to achieve “right first-time” repairs

* Collaborate with the VMU Manager on additional parts and labour needs

* Keep accurate records of repairs and time spent

* Ensure a safe and clean workshop at all times

Qualifications & Experience:

* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in HGV/Commercial Vehicle Maintenance

* Previous experience in a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs

* Strong safety awareness and quality-focused approach

* Ability to work both independently and in a team

* HGV Class 1 Licence (preferred)

* Tail lift experience (desirable)
