Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on LGV and waste vehicles within the FCC workshop.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Use appropriate tools, equipment, and PPE, reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Accurately complete all relevant paperwork, worksheets, and records.
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain competency and skills.
  • Ensure all operations comply with legal, quality, and environmental management systems.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Maintain professionalism with excellent timekeeping and flexibility to meet contract demands.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and management at all levels.
  • Knowledge/Expertise: Previous experience as an LGV Mechanic, experience with waste vehicles, full UK driving licence, and LGV Class 2 driving entitlement.
  • Innovation: Self-motivated with the ability to work within defined timescales and adapt to new challenges.
  • Business Impact: Awareness of transport legislation and a safety-conscious approach to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
