TimePlan Education is seeking a skilled and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a range of primary schools. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff looking to take on a more advanced classroom role and make a meaningful impact on students' learning within supportive and dynamic school environments.

The Role

Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities across Key Stages 1 and 2 in the absence of the regular teacher
Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to enhance understanding and progress
Support teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and assessment where required
Promote positive behaviour and maintain an engaging and inclusive learning environment
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
Contribute to the wider school community and support students' academic and personal developmentThe Ideal Candidate

HLTA status or equivalent experience in a classroom support role
Proven experience working with young people in a secondary school setting
Confident delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour effectively
Strong communication and organisational skills
Committed to supporting student progress and wellbeing
Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different subjects and school environments
Available from April 2026
