Forever Education is supporting a Secondary School in Slough, Berkshire that looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join their School in Slough, Berkshire from April 2026 on a temp to permanent basis. You will be based in their new alternative provision within the secondary school.

JOB DESCRIPTION

* Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

* Working with a group of 10 students

* Support teaching and learning across the primary age range

* Work with individuals and small groups to raise attainment

* Assist with planning, preparation and assessment

* Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment

* Work closely with teachers and senior staff to support pupil progress

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* HLTA Qualification

* Minimum of one years’ experience of working directly with high risk and complex pupils in a recognised setting such as social work, youth work or education.

* Experience in taking a lead in behaviour management. Substantial experience of working with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs,
