Location: Lewisham, South East London
Start Date: January/February 2026
Daily Rate: £100-£120 per day (PAYE)
(Equivalent to £115-£135 per day via Umbrella company)

A well-regarded mainstream primary school in the South East London borough of Lewisham is seeking a confident and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from January/February 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive school environment with excellent transport links, conveniently located within a 5-minute walk of a local train station.

The Role:

Working on behalf of our teaching agency, you will:

Deliver whole class teaching in the absence of the class teacher

Be flexible across all year groups within the primary setting

Support intervention groups to raise attainment

Provide 1:1 support where required

Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team

The Ideal Candidate:

Holds HLTA status (or equivalent experience)

Has prior experience in a mainstream primary school

Is confident leading a class and adapting to different age groups

Is proactive, flexible, and passionate about supporting pupil progress
