An established private hospital in Leeds is seeking a Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist (Devices) to join its experienced and well-supported cardiology team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accredited cardiac physiologist with strong cardiac rhythm management (CRM) and device experience to work in a modern, well-equipped cardiac unit delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional services.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary cardiac team, delivering specialist invasive and non-invasive cardiac services, with a strong focus on cardiac devices and CRM.
This is not a management role, but you will act as a senior clinical figure within the team — guiding and mentoring junior staff while maintaining high clinical standards.
Working Pattern:
- Full-time: 37.5 hours (Monday–Friday, typically 9–5)
- Part-time considered: 3 days (22.5 hours)
- Flexible working available (e.g., 4 longer days)
Key Responsibilities
- Support cardiac device implantation procedures (monitoring ECG and intra-cardiac signals, ensuring accurate lead placement)
- Lead cardiac device follow-up clinics in line with BHRS guidelines
- Assess device function, battery status and perform appropriate reprogramming
- Perform and report ambulatory ECG analysis (significant daily workload)
- Deliver and interpret non-invasive cardiac investigations:
- 12-lead ECG
- Ambulatory ECG
- Ambulatory BP
- Exercise Tolerance Testing
- Participate in cardiac cath lab procedures including:
- Diagnostic angiography
- PCI
- Right heart catheterisation
- PFO/ASD closures
- Maintain device stock control and support governance processes
- Contribute to audit, service improvement and departmental development
- Provide mentorship and competency support for junior physiologists
Essential Requirements
- BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent)
- Registration with RCCP or AHCS
- BHRS or IBHRE Devices Accreditation
- Minimum 1 year post-accreditation device experience (highly specialist level preferred)
- Strong, independent experience in cardiac rhythm management and device follow-up
