M Group Highways

At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

You’ll be joining our Civils projects team- We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.

What will you be doing?

You'll work as part of a team undertaking Highways repairs, cyclical works including gully cleaning and general highway maintenance.

You'll use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.

Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the day to day tasks set.

In this role you'll take responsibility for vehicles, plant, materials in your charge.

Where appropriate we may ask you to provide direction and supervision of the work to less experienced operatives.

Part of the roles will mean you undertake winter and emergency maintenance out of hours activities on a standby rota.

Please note - 
  • You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools.
  • You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground. 
  • You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction.

What you’ll bring

  • Clean driving License
  • A commitment to Health and Safety
  • Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers.
  • LGV Class C driving licence OR demonstrate capability to support investment of LGV Class C training during probationary period.
  • CSCS Card

Desirable:

  • Highways experience
  • New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) Operative Accreditation
  • Lantra 12d
  • HGV Glass 2
