Octopus is hiring | Senior Java Developer | Card Payments - 12 month contract


Our client a major player in the card payments space is building high-volume, real-time transaction systems — and they need a seriously strong Java engineer to join the team.

If you like low-latency systems, clean architecture, and tech that actually handles millions of transactions, this one’s worth a look.

What we’re looking for (non-negotiables):
  • 5–10 years Java (this is key)
  • Solid Spring Boot / microservices experience
  • Strong experience building APIs at scale
⚙️ You’ll need at least 2 of the below:
  • ☁️ AWS (3+ years) – S3, Lambda, DynamoDB
  • Big Data (3+ years) – Spark, Snowflake, Kafka
  • Containers (3+ years) – Kubernetes / OpenShift
  • Payments experience (2–3 years) – card payments / fintech / transaction systems

We’re being strict here — at leat 2 of the above is required to get through to interview.
