History Teacher - Maternity Cover (Ealing - Inner London)

A large and diverse secondary school in Ealing, Inner London is seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis. The role is available to start ASAP or from April 2026 and will run until July 2026. This is a full-time position; however, the school will consider strong part-time applicants. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Salary will be paid in line with Inner London MPS/UPS.

* Deliver engaging and thought-provoking history lessons across KS3 and KS4, enabling students to develop a strong understanding of key historical events, themes, and interpretations. * Encourage critical thinking and analytical skills through source evaluation, debate, and extended writing. * Inspire curiosity about the past and help students understand its relevance to contemporary society. * Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles. * Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear feedback to support continued improvement. * Contribute positively to the wider humanities department and support extracurricular activities where appropriate. * Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement in line with school policies.
