HLTA - Wigan area

• Mixed Year 5/6 class
• Monday to Friday 8.30am -3.30pm
• From £100.00 per day depending on experience
• Start April 2026 for 12 weeks

We are currently seeking an experienced HLTA/ TA to join our dedicated and friendly team at one of our schools in Wigan. The purpose of the role is to support teaching and learning within the class, supporting teaching staff with their responsibility for the development and education of children. The role requires enthusiasm, hard work and a passion for supporting high quality learning to maximise a child's potential.

You will be supporting as a Teaching assistant in the mornings and stepping up as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in the afternoons in a mixed Year 5/6 class. This is a full time role Monday to Friday from April 2026 for approximately 12 weeks.

The Primary School is a 2-form entry school with dedicated staff and supportive SLT.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

• Have a real passion of supporting children
• Experience of working within KS2 with a proven track record
• Experience of supporting children on a 1-1 basis
• Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
