Home Tutor Required (10–15 hours per week) – SEN Experience Essential
We are seeking a calm, patient and experienced home tutor to support a bright and capable Year 10 student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The role involves delivering a personalised learning programme in a supportive one-to-one environment.
About the Student
The student is an intelligent and creative young person who enjoys practical learning, science, music and being active outdoors. He benefits from positive relationships with adults and responds best to supportive, flexible teaching approaches.
The student has the following needs which impact his learning:
* Dyslexia affecting reading, spelling and extended writing
* ADHD which impacts concentration, attention and impulsivity
* Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties, particularly in busy or pressured environments
* Social and sensory sensitivities, meaning quieter learning environments and regular breaks are helpful
Despite these challenges, the student is academically able and engages well when learning is practical, structured and broken into manageable steps.
The Role
The tutor will deliver approximately 10–15 hours of home-based tuition per week, providing a highly adapted and supportive learning programme aligned with his EHCP outcomes.
