Homelessness Relief & Prevention Officer ** We are working in partnership with a Local Authority in the Berkshire area who are seeking a Homelessness Relief & Prevention Officer . About the role: Provide comprehensive housing advice and assistance to prevent and relieve homelessness for all households in housing need. Conduct a housing needs assessment to determine what statutory duty (if any) is owed. Issue relevant notifications and decisions under section 184 of the Housing Act as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act. Assist in assessing housing applications and deciding on nominations and allocations of social housing. Work in partnership with outside agencies, RPs and other departments to resolve households housing problems. Contract Lengths: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract. Pay Rates: £29+ per hour (negotiable depending on your experience) Location: Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 5LD.
