Hospital Planner (Consultancy)
Locations: London (ideal), Birmingham, Oxford, or Reading
Seniority: Associate (ideal) to Associate Director
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Hybrid
The Opportunity:
Sentinel is working with a well-established consultancy that is looking to hire a Hospital/Healthcare Planner into their growing team.
This is a key hire due to project demand and a rare opportunity to join a specialist team working at the forefront of UK healthcare transformation and major hospital programmes.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll take ownership of projects, lead workstreams, and play a visible role with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Leading healthcare planning & strategy engagements end-to-end
Demand & capacity modelling
Clinical/service planning
Strategic & outline business cases (SOC/OBC)
Healthcare facility planning & briefing
Supporting major hospital programmes (including NHP-aligned projects)
Running clinical stakeholder workshops and engagement sessions
Reviewing/coordinating designs, layouts, and equipment planning
Acting as a trusted advisor to NHS and private clients
Contributing to bids, proposals, and winning new work
Skills/Experience:
Consultancy background
Time spent in an NHS Trust/public sector planning environment
Strong experience in healthcare strategy/planning/infrastructure
Strong understanding of hospital planning & clinical workflows
Experience working on business cases (SOC/OBC)
Exposure to the New Hospital Programme (NHP) (desirable)
