Fusion Assets, NLP LLP An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Learning Officer to join the Talent and Organisational Development Team. This post will play a key role working within the Student Social Work Hub and you will be joining a team that is highly motivated and committed to the development of our student Social Workers. The Student Social Work Hub works with Universities across Scotland to provide placement opportunities for Social Work students in their third and fourth years of study. The Hub fully supports them in a variety of placements across the Social Work service to ensure they receive a meaningful and supportive experience. The Hub will also manage our new Trainee Social Worker scheme in conjunction with the Open University which aims to grow our own pipeline of Social Workers for the future. As a Practice Learning Officer, you will be involved with the development, delivery, and evaluation of a wide range of learning and development activities for student Social Workers and Newly Qualified Social workers across the Health & Social Care Partnership and Education, Families and Justice services. Furthermore, it is our job to ensure that the standards in Social Work education are met and to ensure that we are the gatekeepers of our Social Work profession. To be eligible to apply for this post, you will require a degree in Social Work and a qualification in Practice Learning which is approved by the Scottish Social Services Council. You will have significant relevant experience of working as a fully qualified Social Worker and a Practice Teacher or Educator.
