Your role will be based in Sherwell Manor which is well under construction and set to open in June 2026!

As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will play an integral role within the care home, working as part of a small domestic team. Your role is key in ensuring the home is cleaned and maintained to very high standard in line with the cleaning schedules in order to ensure our residents live in an exceptional environment. You will become part of the care home family and let's be honest, YOU are what makes our home a great place to live and work!
Key Responsibilities:
-To provide a high quality housekeeping service to ensure all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard and that all linen and resident's personal clothing/items are correctly laundered
-To oversee all domestic staff and to ensure all duties are completed to the desired standards.
-You will be responsible for ordering cleaning stock and ensuring stock levels are correct at all times.
-To ensure that all areas of the Care Home are cleaned to a high standard in compliance with the specific cleaning guidelines and schedules and that they effectively meet the residents' and homes needs.
-To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident's personal information at all times, including their right to privacy, dignity and choice.
-To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act, to ensure a safe and efficient laundry service in the home. Understand and have an awareness of Infection Control.
-To check that all residents' personal clothing and items are individually labelled, maintained in good repair and returned to the correct resident in a timely manner after each laundry session.
-To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident's personal information at all times, including resident's right to privacy, dignity and choice.
-To ensure all equipment used is in full, safe working order, promptly reporting any faults to both Maintenance and the General Manager.
-To check all areas of the home are supplied with adequate housekeeping items and inform the manager of any shortages.
-To always be alert and use your own initiative, spot clean any spillages as they occur.
-To be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to meeting, attend training sessions and ensure that The Care Home is a friendly and supportive working environment.

Hours of work: (09:00-16:00) and you will be expected to work Monday to Friday which will be 35 hours per week in total.
Hourly Rate of Pay: £13.50

Key Responsibilities - Care Assistant

As a Care Assistant / Care Worker at Tudor House, Thornbury, your responsibilities will include:

Personal Care & Daily Support:

  • Providing personal care to residents with dignity and respect
  • Assisting residents with washing, dressing, and getting ready for the day or night ahead
  • Supporting residents with meals, food, and nutrition
  • Helping with mobility and transfers as required
  • Providing day-to-day social interaction and emotional support
  • Ensuring all residents receive person-centred care

  • Health & Wellbeing Monitoring:

  • Being alert to residents' physical and mental wellbeing at all times
  • Immediately reporting any changes in a resident's condition to senior staff on duty
  • Accurately maintaining and updating residents' care records and documentation
  • Understanding and maintaining awareness of infection control procedures

  • Compliance & Safety:

  • Understanding and complying with all statutory and legal requirements including Health & Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act
  • Maintaining a safe environment throughout the care home
  • Respecting and maintaining confidentiality of residents' personal information at all times

  • Social & Emotional Care:

  • Being understanding and patient towards residents and their individual needs
  • Encouraging, assisting, and supporting residents to participate in leisure activities appropriate to each individual
  • Ensuring residents' social and emotional needs are met
  • Escorting residents to outside appointments and leisure outings when required

  • Environmental Care:

  • Making and changing beds, tidying residents' rooms (with permission)
  • Undertaking light cleaning duties as needed
  • Ensuring that Tudor House is kept clean, pleasant, and welcoming at all times

  • Team Working:

  • Being an active and supportive member of the care team
  • Contributing to team meetings and ensuring good communication
  • Helping and supporting new team members as appropriate
