Falkirk Council is inviting applications to undertake the role of Housing Support Assistant on a permanent basis delivering trauma-informed support to the residents of the Castings.

If you are keen to learn new skills in a challenging environment, gain valuable experience and make a difference to people’s lives then the Castings is for you. You will be working alongside an established team delivering person-centered support to vulnerable adults in a housing support service.

The Castings is going through a magical transformation, and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to be a part of this journey. It would be advantageous to have a knowledge of homelessness, the benefits system, welfare rights and be familiar with the SSSC codes of practice.

A willingness to obtain, work towards or be educated to SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent will be required.

You will work 25 hours per week.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
