Hours: 37 hours per week (Full time)
Location: Community-based role covering services across Mole Valley, Elmbridge, Runnymede and Surrey Heath (regular travel between sites required)

In Housing first, we support people to maintain their tenancies and build independence through a Housing-Led approach. This role is community-based and involves regular travel between properties across West Surrey.

You will work as part of a supportive team to empower clients to resolve challenges, improve daily living skills and achieve sustainable outcomes.

Many of the clients we support have complex and overlapping needs, including:

Experience of homelessness
Mental health challenges
Drug and alcohol dependency
Social isolation
Financial hardship

This role requires emotional resilience, strong professional boundaries and the ability to work in a trauma-informed, non-judgmental way.

About the Role
As a Housing & Support Officer, you will:

Support clients to sustain their tenancies and prevent homelessness
Deliver person-centred support aligned to individual support plans
Assist clients to access health, substance misuse, employment and community services
Promote harm reduction and positive behaviour change
Carry out housing management duties including rent monitoring, tenancy management, property checks and health & safety responsibilities
Complete risk assessments and contribute to safeguarding processes

This is a varied role balancing housing management and support, where no two days are the same.

About You
We are looking for someone who:

Can build professional, non-judgmental relationships with people with complex needs
Is confident working with individuals experiencing drug and alcohol dependency
Communicates effectively with clients, colleagues and partner agencies
Can manage risk appropriately and escalate concerns where necessary
Is organised and able to manage their own workload
Has basic numeracy and written communication skills (GCSE Maths and English level 4 or equivalent)
Is confident using IT systems (Excel, Word, Outlook, internet)
Holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle for work purposes
