HR & Admin Assistant (6 Months FTC)


A fantastic opportunity to learn and develop your skills at a highly regarded UK law firm within the HR sector. You’ll provide essential admin support on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract – maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating recruitment, managing onboarding and offboarding, and supporting HR compliance across the London and international offices.


  • Salary to £38,000
  • 6-month fixed-term contract
  • Hybrid working – 3 days in the office / 2 days remote
  • 09:30am – 6:00pm working hours
  • Stunning offices / Fenchurch Street location


HR & Admin Assistant Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain employee records and work closely with the wider HR team to ensure HR files are accurate and up to date
  • Assist in the recruitment process for support staff by liaising with agencies, scheduling interviews, and maintaining accurate recruitment logs
  • Facilitating the onboarding of new hires including drafting offer documentation, drafting induction schedules, and arrange induction sessions with new joiners
  • Assist with Right to Work checks and ensuring immigration files are up to date and accurate
  • Manage absences via the HRIS system, assist with Cyclical review cycles and appraisal administration
  • Assist with the offboarding process for leavers
  • Assist with the administration of benefits enrolment for employees.


HR & Admin Assistant Skills & Requirements:


  • Previous experience in an HR role administrative position is required
  • An understanding of HR processes and best practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS systems is desirable
