Job role: HR Advisor
Location: Colchester
Salary: £40,000-£45,000
Hours: Full time, office based
We are recruiting an HR Advisor to provide expert, practical ER support to managers and leaders within a fast-paced, regulated environment. This is a hands-on role managing complex ER casework while supporting best practice people management.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide timely ER advice to managers via phone, written and in-person support
* Manage a high volume of complex ER cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, capability, whistleblowing, redundancy, TUPE and change management
* Coach and support managers, balancing commercial needs with employment law best practice
* Review and quality-check investigation reports, letters and ER documentation
* Support ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunal cases
* Maintain accurate ER case records and reporting
* Identify ER trends and contribute to policy, process and template improvements
* Support ER training delivery and ad-hoc projects
About You
* Minimum 2 years’ employee relations casework experience
* Strong working knowledge of current UK employment law
* Experience managing complex, high-volume ER cases
* Confident communicator with strong influencing and coaching skills
* Well organised, detail-focused and able to work under pressure
* CIPD qualified or working towards (desirable)
* ACAS / Employment Tribunal experience (desirable)
