HR and Business Support Manager - Spider is advertising on behalf of a fast-growing luxury homeware retail business that has been established for 10 years. They are seeking an experienced HR and Business Support Manager, who has a generalist HR experience and is happy to work in a standalone role, ideally with previous office manager/ business support experience, to join their team in a new role, on a permanent, part-time basis at their Head Office in North London.

About the role
As a part-time HR and Business Support Manager, you will support the Senior Leadership Team and manage daily office operations, while providing comprehensive HR and payroll support. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient office functions and fostering a positive work environment. Due to continued growth and EU expansion, there is strong potential for progression, making this an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. Working hours for this role will be 2 days per week (Monday and Thursday), with the potential to increase to 3 days as the business grows.
Main responsibilities and Duties:
Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee records using HR systems (Breathe HR)
Coordinate training, development activities, probation reviews, and mandatory compliance tracking
Support employee relations and drive internal communications, engagement, and benefits promotion
Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a smooth, organised, and efficient working environment
Manage office supplies, facilities, maintenance, and company records, while implementing effective office procedures
Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, including calendar management, reporting, and organising meetings and events
About you:
As a HR and Business Support Manager, you will bring strong HR knowledge alongside proven office management experience, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will ideally hold a minimum Level 3 HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent experience) and demonstrate a solid understanding of HR processes and best practices. With excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills, you will be confident handling sensitive information with discretion. You will be proactive, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking effectively, while additional qualifications such as First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, or Fire Warden training would be advantageous.
