Job Description
This role offers the chance to work across a wide range of HR activities and contribute to the smooth running of day to day operations. As the HR Assistant, you will play an active role in supporting the delivery of HR services and ensuring processes run efficiently. You'll work closely with the wider team and be involved in a variety of people focused tasks.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide administrative support across all stages of the employee journey, including hiring, onboarding, development, performance processes, and leavers.\nAssist with recruitment by helping draft role profiles, arranging interview schedules, and keeping candidates informed throughout the process.\nSupport the onboarding experience by preparing documentation, coordinating induction activities, and ensuring new starters are set up for success.\nMaintain HR databases and personnel files, ensuring information is accurate, organised, and compliant with GDPR and employment legislation.\nSupport payroll and benefits administration by ensuring relevant information is processed accurately and on time.\nArrange and coordinate learning sessions, workshops, and other development opportunities.\nAct as a first point of contact for HR related queries, offering initial guidance and escalating more complex matters when needed.\nProduce HR letters, reports, and general documentation.\nContribute to wider HR initiatives focused on improving employee experience, engagement, and wellbeing.Experience required\n\nPrevious experience in HR.\nExcellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.\nThe ability to handle confidential information appropriately.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HR systems.\nCIPD - part qualified We are happy to provide application and/or accessibility support, please contact your Marks Sattin or Grafton consultant directly to discuss your needs.
