The HR Assistant will support the HR team with backlog clearance, digital filing, HRIS updates, payroll administration, and data preparation for the upcoming transition to ADP, while ensuring all employee information is managed accurately and confidentially. They will also assist with the rollout of the new wellbeing strategy, employee engagement reporting, and general HR coordination across a busy HR function.

Key Responsibilities
Support the HR team in clearing administrative backlogs and organising documentation. Create and establish a digital filing structure to improve HR record‑keeping. Assist with HRIS tasks, including data entry, system updates, and data cleansing. Support with the rollout and communication of a new wellbeing strategy for 2026. Assist with payroll‑related administration; prior payroll exposure is a strong advantage. Gather and organise employee engagement data to support presentations to the MD. Prepare HR documents, trackers, letters, and templates as required. Support data migration and accuracy checks for the transition to ADP (training provided). Handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism. Collaborate with the HR and wider business support teams where required.
Profile
What We're Looking For
Experience as an HR Administrator, HR Assistant, or strong Business Support Administrator with exposure to HR processes. Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to handling employee data. Strong organisational skills and confidence in creating structure and digital order. Ability to work with absolute confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Comfortable supporting HR projects, communications, and system updates. Experience supporting payroll or working with payroll data is highly beneficial. Familiarity with HR systems; exposure to ADP or Sage is advantageous but not essential. A proactive, calm, and supportive team player who can hit the ground running.

Competitive hourly rate of £16.00 - £17.00, depending on experience. A 3‑month temporary assignment with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and extension of contract. Hybrid working pattern of three days a week based on-site in Basingstoke.
