Our client is a leading proprietary trading house an opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Business partner who will be focusing upon Employee Relations has arisen to join the team operating within a global People function and supporting teams across APAC, Europe and the US..
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a complex and high-risk international ER caseload, providing expert guidance across disciplinary, grievance, appeal, investigation, performance and capability matters. The position requires ownership of sensitive and strategic issues within a fast-paced, regulated trading environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing end-to-end employee relations casework across multiple regions#
Advising on organisational change initiatives including restructures, redundancies and cross-border transfers
Developing and delivering ER training to managers globally
Drafting and harmonising HR and ER policies in line with UK employment law and relevant international frameworks
Ensuring all people-related decisions meet regulatory and compliance standards
Partnering closely with Legal, Compliance and Risk functions on sensitive matters
Leading employment contract projects across jurisdictions, including restrictive covenants, non-compete and confidentiality provisions
Mediating disputes and conducting fair, impartial investigations
Monitoring ER data and trends globally, presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership
The role will also contribute to broader HR initiatives where required, supporting alignment with business strategy.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
CIPD Level 5 minimum, Level 7 preferred
Proven experience managing complex ER matters within a regulated, fast-paced and international environment
Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law, with exposure to APAC and US frameworks advantageous
Experience within financial services, trading or similarly regulated sectors highly desirable
Commercially astute with strong risk awareness
Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence senior leaders
High levels of discretion, resilience and emotional intelligence
Comfortable partnering closely with Legal teams on contractual and regulatory matters
This position reports directly to the Chief People Officer and offers the opportunity to shape global ER standards within a high-performance trading business.
