The purpose of the role is to be a member of a team that is agile, connected, and an accountable partner to the Global Supply Chain & Procurement (SC&P) Scotch Category, specifically supporting our Scotch whisky packaging site, Shieldhall, as HR Business Partner. The key aim of the role is enabling growth and performance through focusing on the five pillars of our Global HR Strategy: Continuous Learning, Innovative Approach to Talent, Inclusion & Diversity, Speed, Focus & Simplicity & Fulfilling Employee Experiences for the market and our SC&P and Scotch Category Strategy.
The role also sits within and contributes more widely to the Scotch Category HR, Supply Chain Categories and SC&P teams.
Leadership Responsibilities:
This role will support the people agenda across all of their function area and it will be a key in providing strong HR advice, coaching and development in particular to the Site Operations Director and their Leadership team, on which they will also sit.
Top accountabilities:
Partner with the functional leadership teams to build and deliver ambitious and powerful talent plans which includes robust talent planning to future proof the business, resourcing for our biggest opportunities at pace, strong proactive pipeline of talent, and creating exciting, innovative career paths for people which accelerates their development. This will include ongoing collaboration with HRBPs across other global Functions, categories and within markets.
Support the Organisation Effectiveness agenda across the function- grounded in the functional strategy and by demonstrating data and analytics, creating possibilities that results in hard-working and ground breaking performance, delivers cost efficiencies and injects the right reinvestments. The role provides change leadership across the organisation by pulling the levers of across capability, process, ways of working, culture and leadership to deliver the outcomes for the business.
Drive I&D agenda specific to each function across all HR levers (talent, reward, culture, learning, etc) that creates an inclusive culture where each employee feel valued for their uniqueness and are able to maximise their impact.
Build hard-working teams, coaching line managers to create an agile, stretching and focused performance culture to enables outstanding performance and fulfilling employee experiences collaborating with HR shared service teams and our Centres of Excellence.
Instil a continuous learning culture throughout the organisation ensuring employees have access to stretching experiences and great learning content that fuels constant growth in their capabilities and our business performance.
Performance Management - the role will be key in understanding our policies and approaches regarding performance management across the sites.
Own and drive the Employee Relations agenda on site. Partnering with our Leadership Team and Trade Union Representatives.
Ideal experiences / Qualifications / capabilities
Excellent talent judgement - ability to assess talent gaps, and suggest actions needed to strengthen succession plans and talent pipelines.
Being able to excel when dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and matrixed global environment.
Ability to understand and drive insights from HR data, analysing to measure impacts, assess OE plans, diagnose trends and link to business performance outcomes.
Deep personal accountability for great performance.
Ability to build and maintain genuine relationships based on mutual trust & respect.
Successful collaboration and influencing across a variety of collaborators at all levels, resulting in strong and positive outcomes.
Change and project management skills (including influencing change).
Collaborating with and coaching business leaders to add valuable contributions through seeing each scenario through the lens of both the business objective and how the people strategy drives and facilitates this.
An innate curiosity to understand what drives the business and how the varying agendas across each function and business area give towards driving the Category or Function forward.
