Job Description
JR293: HSE ManagerLocation: Leatherhead, Surrey Salary: £52,630.50 per annum + £6,000 Vehicle AllowanceOverview:First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a HSE Manager to join their team.Duties and Responsibilities:
Line-manage the HSE Advisor and HSE Coordinator, providing regular 1:1s, objective setting, development plans and performance reviews. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to ensure the team deliver high-quality HSE support. Prioritise team workload and coordinate allocation of site visits, investigations and audits. Champion a positive safety culture and ensure HSE is embedded in day-to-day operations. Influence managers and supervisors to take accountability for safety performance. Ensure TBG complies with UK health, safety and environmental legislation (HSWA, RIDDOR, CDM, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, EA regulations, etc.). Maintain and update HSE policies, procedures and safe systems of work. Oversee documentation produced by the HSE Advisor and HSE Coordinator, ensuring consistency and quality. Support the Head of QHSE during any regulatory inspections or enforcement activity.
Skills and Qualifications:
NEBOSH General Certificate Strong operational HSE experience within utilities. Construction, Experience working in Engineering or energy environments Experience supervising or managing HSE professionals or Technical staff Demonstrable experience leading investigations and audits Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental regulations Skilled in risk assessment, permit systems and incident analysis
