Senior HR Business Partner – Transatlantic Law Firm

London

£80,000 - £95,000


A leading transatlantic law firm is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to provide strategic and commercial people support across key business areas. This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive performance, engagement, and talent initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including Board-level leaders
  • Translate business needs into effective people strategies and initiatives
  • Drive employee engagement and a high-performance culture
  • Collaborate with recruitment and development teams to deliver integrated talent solutions
  • Lead annual HR cycles including performance reviews, promotions, compensation, and workforce planning
  • Support firm-wide talent initiatives aligned to growth and inclusion goals
  • Contribute to strategic HR projects and system implementation
  • Support management development and broader people programmes
  • Advise on performance, absence, wellbeing, and employee matters
  • Manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Support onboarding and integration of new hires
  • Liaise with occupational health and implement recommendations
  • Contribute as a senior member of the HR team, sharing best practice and driving continuous improvement
  • Mentor and support junior team members

Skills & Experience


Essential

  • Proven HR Business Partner experience in a professional services environment
  • Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing employee relations and annual HR processes
  • Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

  • Experience in legal or professional services
  • Familiarity with HR systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
