The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised nationally and internationally as the United Kingdom’s leading organisation for the provision of protective policing for the civil nuclear industry and other critical national infrastructure. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals to our team.
Join us as HR Business Partner to help to embed and translate our People Strategy across the wider organisation. You’ll proactively develop and nurture meaningful relationships by working as an integral part of your allocated business area, playing a key business partnering role in the overall effective management of staffing, resourcing, and all HR matters. You’ll provide up to date knowledge and insights by using reporting and analytics to identify the main messages and themed to highlight strong areas of performance, and potential areas of improvement.
You’ll work closely with senior managers and leaders to provide feedback and challenge on HR issues and make recommendations on how these should be addressed to ensure HR policy is applied consistently and accurately, by developing, mentoring, and advising senior managers through the delivery of HR policy and training sessions as required. You’ll also implement, review, and develop HR policies and procedures and how they should be applied, providing advice to senior management and the wider HR team on best practice.
This is a role for an experienced HR professional, ideally holding a CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent degree or working experience within a senior HR Advisory role) with a broad understanding of all areas of HR and their interactivity at a strategic level, backed up with an excellent understanding of employment law. You’ll be a superb communicator and have experience of working alongside senior leaders and management and be a confident presenter and report writer. And when it comes to policy and process development, you’ll always apply best practice.

This role has been assessed as suitable for hybrid working with a 60% / 40% split of home and office working, details of which will be discussed and agreed with the successful individual.
