Piper Maddox are exclusively working with a renowned high voltage specialist electrical engineering company based in the UK. They work across a range of industries focusing on the renewable energy space whilst specialising in electrical power infrastructure and grid connections. This company are now looking to expand their team through the hire of an Electrical Design Engineer based in Bristol.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll actively be involved in their Engineering team working towards their portfolio of high voltage projects. You will be responsible for the design of high voltage electrical infrastructure and follow projects from the concept to the construction phases.

Location: Bristol, UK (Hybrid)

Salary: £55,000-£60,000 plus bonus

Key Responsibilities:

Design of HV substations and electrical infrastructure (11 kV to 132 kV)– including substation building layouts, primary substation equipment layouts, busbar designs, primary equipment specifications Protection & Control design– preparation of protection SLD’s, protection scheme specifications, protection & control schematics, protection coordination reports, relay configuration files.
