We are working on behalf of a well-established building services contractor that is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to take ownership of the design, pricing, and delivery of HVAC projects across commercial and specialist environments.

This role will suit a Project Manager with a strong technical grounding in HVAC systems, supported by a solid understanding of electrical interfaces and building services coordination. Candidates may come from either a mechanical or electrical background, provided they have been operating in an HVAC-focused Project Management role in recent years.

Responsibilities:

Take full end-to-end ownership of HVAC projects from initial survey and design through to installation, commissioning, and final account.

Design and price HVAC systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, ductwork, AHUs, MVHR, and associated plant.

Prepare detailed costings, quotations, and commercial proposals based on drawings, specifications, and site surveys.

Manage multiple concurrent projects with values typically ranging from small works through to £1m+ schemes.

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Review and mark up construction drawings, technical submissions, and design information.

Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and health & safety requirements.

Manage RAMS, O&M documentation, variations, and final accounts.

Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders, providing clear progress and financial reporting.

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering HVAC projects.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, with a working understanding of electrical services and interfaces.

Background in either mechanical or electrical engineering is acceptable, provided recent roles are HVAC PM–focused.

Demonstrable experience designing and pricing HVAC projects from concept through to delivery.

Ability to read, interpret, and review construction and manufacture drawings.

Experience managing subcontractors and site teams in commercial or industrial environments.

Proficient with standard PC applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, document management tools).
