Role: Hydraulic Field Service Engineer

Location: Field Based

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Depending on experience

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Field Service Engineer to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role involving on-site diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and installation of hydraulic systems and components across a range of industrial and mobile equipment.

Responsibilities include:

Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and pipework
Install, commission, and test hydraulic equipment
Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Provide technical advice and support to customers on-site
Complete detailed service reports and documentation
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
Participate in on-call rota

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience working with hydraulic systems (mobile or industrial)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic diagrams
Mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent preferred)
Full clean driving licence
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
