Our client is a high-growth technology company near Shanghai, China, actively advancing new-energy vehicle programs. The company integrates R&D, engineering, and manufacturing, and collaborates with leading industrial partners to translate hydrogen fuel cell innovation into reliable, production-grade mobility solutions.

This role starts in May 2026 with a remote-first setup. The first three months will be remote to align objectives, workflows, and milestones. After that, any on-site engagement in China may be arranged by mutual agreement based on project needs (for example, stack validation, pilot builds, or factory trials). Compensation is competitive, with additional allowances for any agreed on-site participation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research and development of new energy hydrogen fuel cell products.
• Develop and manage the technical team, ensuring project milestones and objectives are met.
• Formulate and execute the technical route and development plans for hydrogen fuel cell projects.
• Innovate in hydrogen fuel cell technology, including product development, testing, validation, and iterative improvement.
• Plan and optimize production line layouts, capacity analysis, and process enhancements.

Your Profile

• Ideally holding a Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials/Chemistry, or Automotive Engineering (or related field), or equivalent industry experience.
• Ideally 3+ years in fuel-cell development, with understanding of stack mechanisms and key components (e.g., bipolar plates, MEAs).
• Experience with new-energy vehicle hardware/software development and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication and teamwork.
• Familiarity with agile project practices is a plus.
• English is the working language; additional languages are a plus.
