Job Description

Hydrogen Gas Project ManagerWere currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a hydrogen gas programme within a manufacturing environment. This role will involve managing builds, facilities, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

The role

  • Ensure all parts and materials required for hydrogen gas builds (approximately 500 parts per unit) are picked and available to support production
  • Manage any offline rework activities, ensuring units are completed and ready for sale
  • Manage and deliver purchase orders for facilities and equipment, including approving drawings and ensuring timely delivery
  • Work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including:
  • Production
  • Warehouse & Logistics
  • Process, Quality, Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering
  • Health & Safety teams
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations, including the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and applicable hydrogen safety standards
  • Create, update, and present project status reports and presentations to the platform and wider business

Contract details

  • Initial duration: 12 months
  • Start date: 1st February
  • Working hours:
  • MondayThursday: 06:45 15:45
  • Friday: 06:45 11:45
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Saturday overtime available when required
  • Pay: £300 per day
  • Outside IR35/LTD Contract

Key responsibilities

  • Managing large-scale, cross-functional projects
  • Activity planning and resource management
  • Organising and motivating project teams
  • Managing project timelines and delivery milestones
  • Cost estimating and budget control
  • Identifying, analysing, and mitigating project risks
  • Monitoring progress and managing reports and documentation
  • Ensuring customer and stakeholder satisfaction

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within hydrogen, gas, energy, or complex manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance in regulated industries
  • Excellent stakeholder and supplier management skills
  • Confident managing cost, timing, and delivery across multiple departments
