IAM Specialist

I am recruiting for an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist to support a major Niche Records Management System (RMS) replacement programme within a UK policing environment.

You will play a key role in designing, configuring and assuring identity lifecycle management and access controls across Niche RMS and connected systems, including NIAM, SailPoint, Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory. The role is critical to ensuring secure, compliant and efficient access to operational systems while enabling delivery at pace.

What you'll do:
- Review and improve the existing IAM landscape and processes.
- Design and implement identity lifecycle processes (joiners, movers, leavers).
- Configure SailPoint workflows and integrations with Niche, NIAM, Entra ID and AD.
- Implement role-based and attribute-based access controls.
- Support authentication, authorisation, audit and compliance activities.
- Assist with testing, go-live and operational transition.
- Produce clear IAM designs and operational documentation.

Essential experience:
- Proven IAM delivery experience.
- Hands-on SailPoint experience (essential).
- Strong experience with Entra ID and Active Directory.
- Understanding of identity governance, least-privilege and audit controls.
- Experience integrating IAM with enterprise systems.

Desirable:
- Knowledge of Police NIAM.
- Experience working in UK policing or secure public sector environments.

Contract: 12 months
Working: Hybrid
