IBMi Service Desk

Up to £40,000pa + Bonus

Hybrid working into Watford

We’re seeking an experienced Service Desk Technical Consultant to join a small, high-performing team within a leading international technology solutions provider. You’ll deliver remote support to enterprise clients across sectors including Finance, Manufacturing, and Retail, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line remote support for IBM i / Power Systems environments
• Monitor and manage enterprise systems, backups, HA and DR processes
• Investigate and resolve incidents through to completion
• Perform patching, upgrades, and technical consultancy as required
• Maintain accurate documentation and ticketing records
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a senior Service Desk or Operations role
• Strong IBM i (Power i) expertise in enterprise environments
• Experience with IBM i OS, BRMS, work & performance management
• Knowledge of SQL, CL, SSL, key management, virtualisation and HA solutions (e.g. Mimix)
• Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools (e.g. Jira)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
