This role will involve working full time Monday to Friday 9am till 5.30pm.
Main duties:
Managing FCL and LCL ocean freight shipments from initial booking through to final delivery
Acting as a key point of contact between shipping lines, hauliers, customers, overseas agents, and internal teams
Preparing and handling all essential shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
Ensuring full compliance with Incoterms, customs regulations, and company procedures
Tracking shipments closely, anticipating and resolving delays or issues before they escalate
Providing regular, clear shipment updates to clients and maintaining accurate records
Entering and maintaining data accurately across freight management systems
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in ocean freight forwarding, ideally covering both imports and exports
Strong working knowledge of international shipping documentation and Incoterms
Experience using freight forwarding systems such as CargoWise, ASM Sequoia, BoxTop, or similar
A confident communicator with excellent coordination and organisational skills
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
Understanding of global trade lanes, ports, and basic customs processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
