Job Title: Import / Export Coordinator (Customs Bias)
Location: Cramlington
Salary: DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm + 3 hours every other Saturday (WFH)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Import / Export Coordinator with a strong focus on customs documentation and compliance to support international freight movements. The role is customs-biased, with responsibilities spanning import/export coordination, accurate data entry, and ensuring shipments meet UK and international trade regulations.

You will work closely with drivers, customers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth and efficient movement of goods through the supply chain. This is a great opportunity to join a growing logistics operation and gain exposure to international freight management.

Key Responsibilities

Process and manage import and export documentation for road freight shipments

*

Maintain accurate data entry across freight and customs systems

*

Prepare and support customs declarations and compliance documentation

*

Ensure shipments comply with UK customs and international trade regulations

*

Liaise with drivers, customers, freight partners, and customs agents

*

Track and monitor shipments, providing updates where required

*

Verify documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and transport paperwork

*

Support the wider operations team with general freight coordination tasks

Requirements

*

Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, customs clearance, or import/export coordination

*

Strong understanding of customs processes and international documentation (desirable)

*

Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail

*

Strong communication and organisational skills

*

Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment
