Salary: £28,000£32,000 depending on experience

Im recruiting for a well-established freight forwarding business based near Gatwick who are looking to strengthen their import operations team.

They are open to speaking with experienced Import Operators or junior operators ready to take the next step.

This is a hands-on role within air freight, ocean freight and road freight imports, with the opportunity to develop further responsibility over time.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Managing air freight, ocean freight and road freight imports

  • Handling customs documentation and clearance processes

  • Preparing quotations and costing files

  • Liaising with airlines, shipping lines and hauliers

  • Keeping customers updated

  • Managing files from booking through to delivery

Youll either already be running shipments or ready to step into that level with support.

What Theyre Open To

  • 13+ years in freight forwarding imports

  • Experience in air freight or sea freight

  • Exposure to customs processes

  • Someone stepping up from a junior import role

You dont need to know everything. You do need to be organised and comfortable speaking to customers.
