A major UK & International freight forwarding organisation are looking for a number of Road freight planners with either experience on import road freight or Export road freight in and out of Europe. ROLE: Import or Export road freight planners LOCATION: Essex SALARY: £28k to £35k BENEFITS: 25 days holiday, pension, life assurance. ROLE: To meet and exceed customers' requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their cargo from A to B, effectively and in accordance with company quality procedures and statutory requirements. KEY TASKS Pro Active communication with Customer / Internal Customer Service Teams. Liaise with other offices / agents in Europe. Book and engage Hauliers for international export transport requirements. Negotiating rates as and when required. Book trailers / drivers with shipping lines through various online platforms. Preparation of documentation associated with all aspects of the transport function. Perform general administration duties, including invoicing, filing, queries, claims and cost checks in accordance with departmental requirements.
