Import/Export Coordinator - Sea Freight

Location: Laindon HillsSalary: Up to £30,000 (onsite)

Our client, a well-established freight forwarding business based in Laindon Hills, is looking for an Import/Export Coordinator to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities

• Manage sea freight import and export shipments from start to finish
• Handle all relevant documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists and customs declarations
• Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, overseas agents and customers to ensure smooth movement of goods
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to clients
• Assist with quotations, rate negotiations and customer service support
• Resolve any shipment issues or delays efficiently
• Maintain accurate records within internal systems and ensure compliance with all regulations

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in sea freight import and export operations is essential
• Good understanding of customs procedures
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• Able to work efficiently in a busy, time-sensitive environment
• Knowledge of freight systems/software xbpsjku is advantageous
