Inclusive Practice Project Lead Location: Ipswich, Hybrid Working Hours: 37 per week £400 Per Day Umbrella Contract until 31st March 2026
About the role We are seeking an Inclusive Practice Project Lead to lead the delivery of a pilot programme designed to strengthen inclusive practice in schools and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND. This role focuses on working directly with schools and education leaders to identify what effective inclusive practice looks like, support settings where practice is still developing, and evaluate the impact of the pilot to inform future SEND strategy.
What you’ll be doing
Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of an Inclusive Practice pilot across three locality areas Work in partnership with headteachers, SENCOs and education leaders to support inclusive approaches Use data and insight to identify schools with strong inclusive practice and those needing targeted support Coordinate activity across multiple schools and stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery Monitor progress, risks and outcomes, providing clear updates and reports Capture learning and evidence from the pilot to inform future scale-up and improvement Support collaboration and shared learning between participating schoolsWho this role is for
You may come from a background such as: School improvement or advisory roles SEND or inclusion leadership Education consultancy or local authority education services Project or programme management within educationWhat we’re looking for
Strong understanding of inclusive practice and SEND in an education setting Experience working directly with schools and education leaders Ability to lead and manage projects, pilots or improvement programmes Confidence using data to inform decisions and measure impact Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently and manage competing prioritiesProject management experience or qualifications are desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience.
