Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated UK Indirect Buyer to join our Procurement team. Reporting to the Indirect Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring indirect materials and services in a compliant, cost-effective manner, supporting category strategies and cost reduction initiatives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely supply, accurate SAP records, and minimal invoice queries.
Key responsibilities of the UK Indirect Buyer include:
* Managing procurement activities from sourcing through contract award for assigned indirect categories.
* Supporting the delivery of cost optimisation projects and category strategies.
* Maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring contracts reflect agreed pricing and service levels.
* Preparing reports on market conditions and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
* Assisting with budget preparation, audits, and the administration of SAP contracts and purchase orders.
* Contributing to environmental and sustainability initiatives within the procurement function.
Skills & Experience:
* CIPS or equivalent procurement/purchasing/logistics qualification.
* Educated to A-Level or equivalent.
* Proven experience in indirect procurement or a related buying/materials planning role.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems.
