Industrial Engineer (Manufacturing / Production Engineering) – Sheffield, UK

Boeing Sheffield is looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to join the Production Engineering team. This role focuses on manufacturing operations, production scheduling, workflow optimisation, and data analysis to support cross-functional teams in engineering, quality, and supply chain.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain production schedules to meet customer requirements
• Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyse data and solve problems
• Create factory and equipment layouts, and perform workflow analysis
• Assess cost, schedule, and resource impacts for new or revised work packages
• Define and track production performance metrics
• Implement process improvement tools to improve schedule performance, reduce costs, and enhance quality
• Maintain shop floor time standards and resource forecasts for staffing and equipment
• Communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience
• Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, advanced formulas)
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels

Desirable experience:

• Production planning and scheduling using SAP or similar ERP
• SQL scripting (Teradata preferred)
• Data visualisation with Tableau or Power BI
• Lean manufacturing / process improvement
