Role Overview


We are seeking an IT Control Project Manager to lead projects ensuring IT systems, processes, and controls meet regulatory, compliance, and internal standards. The role involves managing end-to-end project delivery, coordinating with technology, risk, and business teams, and ensuring controls are designed, implemented, and monitored effectively.

This position suits someone experienced in IT governance, control frameworks, and project management, with strong stakeholder engagement and risk management skills.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage IT control-related projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Collaborate with IT, Risk, and Business teams to implement, monitor, and maintain IT controls
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, FCA, Solvency II) and internal policies
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure mitigation actions are implemented
  • Coordinate control testing, remediation, and reporting activities
  • Provide regular project updates to senior stakeholders and governance forums
  • Identify process improvements to strengthen IT controls and compliance posture
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including risk registers, project plans, and control logs


Key Experience


  • Proven experience managing IT control or compliance projects within financial services or insurance
  • Strong understanding of IT control frameworks (e.g., SOX, COBIT, ISO 27001)
  • Experience coordinating with auditors, risk teams, and business stakeholders
  • Solid project management skills (Agile or Waterfall)
  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and general IT risk concepts
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CISA) are desirable
