What you'll be doing:
* Gaining a comprehensive understanding of current applications and their architecture
* Collaborating with product owners to gather and document requirements
* Breaking down requirements into features and user stories within JIRA
* Rewriting applications to meet current development standards, focusing on security and performance
* Managing version control within development environments
* Participating in Agile sprints, including planning, demos, and stakeholder updates
* Updating documentation to reflect ongoing progress and changes What you'll bring:
* Strong software engineering background, with experience in TypeScript and React
* Proven ability to understand and improve existing applications
* Experience capturing and translating requirements into actionable features/stories
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint ceremonies
* Excellent communication skills for regular demos and stakeholder engagement
* Security-conscious mindset with a focus on application efficiency Mandatory Skills:
* Experience with TypeScript / React / NodeJS
* Ability to understand and work with current application codebases
* Strong documentation and requirement capture skills
* Agile working experience Desired Skills:
* Knowledge of application security best practices
* Experience with version control systems and dev environments
* Previous work on application re-writes or modernisation projects Required Education:
* Relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience in software engineering or IT Licences and Certifications:
